A long weekend squished, unfortunately, into the requisite two and a half days typically allotted to a weekend. Many realizations about the nature of time (to pass all too quickly and slowly at the same time), the fragile nature of friendships- and their restorative tendencies as well, and the human nature to assume the greatest potential of one’s self and the most realistic of everyone else. Fueling the journey further, you might say.

As I sat in the dentist’s chair yesterday, drowning out the drilling/filling/scraping/etc., I couldn’t help but listen to this song and feel a sense of urgency- as though somehow, my life is underlived.
