Made this lastnight, but apparently there is no halibut to be found at the local safeway so sole was used instead. The glaze is pretty awesome, but would be better on a thicker fish (ahem: halibut), cooked longer, and with less glaze. Paired with green beans (steamed, then almonds and lemon, credits to Matt. Very nice. )
So if any of you were fans of Dazed and Confused, this is absolutely irrelevant but kind of relevant as well. Either way, Wiley Wiggins, aka Mitch Kramer (the long hared, fidgety- he did that pushing on his nose thing that bothered me so much-awkward freshman) is really into indie film and music and mostly from Austin. But he’s got some good stuff.
I plan on taking a secular sabbath at some point. This has absolutely no religious significance. Look it up if you’re impatient; if not, more on this when my blog is back to functioning as it should. Tumbler support? You’re not so helpful.
[Rosebuds- Blue Bird] I’m having a hard time getting a good work flow going. As a remedy, I’ve begun to cycle through my old monthly playlists. They generally reflect the mood I was in at the time and the season, so none of it seems to fit right now. This, from the second October list, is one I’ll always have a special thing for. But you can’t deny- it feels very crisp, clear Portland fall day-y.
Oh my poor neglected tumbler blog (or however you may call it)…thesis and surgery recovery and who knows what (probably a mixture of crossword puzzles, accidental naps, photo undertakings, bicycle undertakings, mom company, re-organizing and settling my home after said mom-company, and finally, work) have left you essentially untouched and mildly overlooked. My apologies. I’ll remedy this, for certain.
And play softball. And go for a very long bike ride. And play volleyball. And work. I want to sit in the studio and work. And finish my thesis. I want to have a clear mind that thinks well just for a little bit. But mostly, I’d just like to spend some time outside; going.
I happened upon this over three years ago from a fellow studio worker past, Mark. It’s really odd for me to actually like an album for three years, but this one (dual disc, actually, skittish + rockity roll) I’ve had on repeat various era throughout these past three years. If you can get a hold of it, it’s definitely worth it. Or just get a hold of me; obviously I love to share.
