December 2008
Today, I almost got hit head-on as an errant driver apparently didn’t understand that 29th was a two-way street, in midday traffic, in broad daylight…as I advanced toward him, honking my horn…
Things I have accomplished this calendar year
It’s not unusual to find oneself reminiscing over the holiday season. For many years, this has landed me in a bit fat bowl of self-pity-pie. As per the very eloquent “Yes and Yes”, and her post on 10 ways to spend your extra hour (not that I have an extra hour, rather that I have a desire to actually feel good about my past year), I have compiled a list of things Cataloging my...

The shape (and location) of this building just call to me. Something about the whole thing inspires me.
Format Change: More blog, less linky?
So I’ve gone back to a somewhat default format for now. I guess this is more about the fact that I’m not really happy with how I’ve been using this whole apparatus. Initially I’d just wanted a place to throw all of my internet wanderings. Now, I think it might take on more of a blog sort of migration. We’ll see where things go from here.
Yes and yes: beat the winter blues →
I just stumbled onto yes and yes, but I’m already liking her ideas about coping with winter blues, among other things.

So I got my daytum invite. I haven’t really fiddled too much with the settings or options and really haven’t thought of any interesting categories to add in. Brainstorming: commence.

Inspired by this chalkboard in the kitchen idea- if you stumble upon an old slate board, let me know!

Ace Photo Digital
I’ve never had such a bad experience with a company- and this one’s even been short lived. But after reading reviews (something I should have done in the first place…) I can only hope that things resolve themselves soon. I ordered my polaroid film a couple of weeks ago and have been tracking its progress accross the country ever since. My initial surprise came when I found that...
Dots Gloves →
These are definitely going on the wishlist: I can’t even begin to count the number of times I’ve been out on my bike, or just plain out, with gloves on and had to stop-remove glove-and then change volume or song on my ipod. A much better solution than all those other “one finger less” gloves I’ve been seeing.
If you have a daytum account, can you invite others to join? I wish I’d jumped on the bandwagon while it was still…jump-on-able. I’d love to know how my previous month broke down.
Currently:
Spending a lot of time at the library, prepping an essay for my photo class…narrowing it down. Reflecting on my photo journal. Consuming vanilla italian sodas as if they were water (I should probably drink more water), and revelling in the fact that yesterday’s photo critique didn’t leave me bloodied and torn to bits. If nothing else, I feel…ok about the whole thing. Now to...

I especially like that Elton’s mom’s snakeskin boots match her snakeskin blouse. Wow.
